Darren Breault

Darren Breault, is an independent contractor and fine builder. After being cast on “Extreme Makeover Home Edition” to renovate homes,  he saw a golden opportunity to leverage the exposure and grow his business. He reached out to me since he knew I’ve been designing since we graduated.

One of the major tenants of fine building is the symmetry and the fusion of wood working styles. From that came the idea of creating something that would show this balance; in the chosen typefaces and color palette. Making his first name the most prominent component was essential since the contractor and builder business is largely based on referrals. Adding the “fine builder” along with the small wood planer in the middle clearly communicate his area of expertise without any additional copy.
