BPL Chinatown

// environmental

When the Boston Public Library decided to open up a branch in Chinatown, I was excited they came to me for guidance on internal and external signage. Since the branch is located in the basement of a large building, it was essential to have large prominent signage in English and Chinese. There are large exterior windows and several indoor facades that are extremely visible from the street. The messaging is simple along with the design.

In addition, there was an opportunity for a mural. I designed something that showed the integration of the library with the Chinatown community and the City of Boston. My goal was to create a captivating and engaging mural for all visitors.
